3cx is the name of the phone system that Campus Apartments uses to keep you in contact with each other and our residents. This article is a brief over view of the phone system as a whole and the way you can interact with it. Please review the individualized articles directly below this paragraph to get more information about the various ways you can configure the phone system for you.
Basic Phone Functions
Placing an Internal Phone Call
- Dial the full 6-digit extension of the person you are trying to contact
- Hit send
Placing an External call (Outside the company call)
- Dial 9 then 1, then the full phone number including the area code of the person you are trying to contact
- Hit send
To Transfer a call
- While on a call press the Transfer button
- Enter in the full 6-digit extension you want to transfer to
- Hit Transfer again
Missed Calls
If you miss a call a notification will appear on your desk phone, and you will receive an email notifying you of the missed call. To opt out of the email just contact Help Desk.
Voicemail
Corporate, General Managers, and Assistant General Managers are the only Campus Apartments permitted to have a voicemail. When a voicemail is left these messages are emailed directly to you and either stored in the system or deleted after emailing.Please submit a Help Desk ticket if you are looking to change this.
Checking Voicemail from your phone (Corporate, General Managers, and Assistant General Managers Only)
- Press *4 or enter 999999
- Press #
- Enter your 6-digit extension
- Enter your PIN
Change Greeting and PIN from another phone (Corporate, General Managers, and Assistant General Managers Only)
- Call your line
- Press # during the Voicemail prompt
- Enter your 6-digit extension
- Enter PIN
- Press 9 for options
Setting Greeting for Property Voicemail (General Managers or Regional Managers only)
- Contact the Help Desk to obtain non-published Extension
- Press *4 or enter 999999
- Press # during the prompt
- Enter non-published extension provided by the Help Desk
- Enter 4043 PIN
To Block Caller ID
- Dial * 5 before 9-1-Phone Number
Change Greeting and PIN from your phone
- Dial 999999 from your phone
- Enter your PIN
- Press 9 for options to change your PIN and set up a greeting.
