Adding Google Authenticator on a Chromebook

To add Google Authenticator to a Campus Apartments deployed Chromebook, please follow the instructions below.

1. Click on circle in the lower left hand corner of the Chromebook

2. Click the arrow to expand system tray up

3. Click Web Store

4. Search the Store for "Authenticator." Please make sure  extensions is highlighted

5. Click on app, then install extension

6. When it installs, you will now be able to locate a mini qr code in the top right next to the search bar

7. Click on that, click pencil to edit

8. Click + to add account

9. Select Manual entry. Do not try and scan QR code

10.You will now be asked to enter an Issuer. Please name it Okta MFA

11. Secret. Will require you to go to Okta, then settings, then add google authenticator That will give you a secret code

12. Enter secret code in authenticator

13. Hit okay

14. It will now appear on the first screen of the extension

15. When logging in, you have to hit the drop down to change to authenticator
