To keep things simple: Both DeepFreeze and the Admin / Administrator password should be set to the same admin password that is being used for Corp Computers and Synology
Scheduling will need to be coordinated with the site. If you have any issues with accessing or changing the password, please note as such.
Loose Steps are noted below. Please be advised, we are still developing this process, so this may need to be updated
Windows
- Turn off Deepfreeze
- Reset Admin Password to specified password
- Reset DeepFreeze to specified password
- Turn Deepfreeze back on.
MacOS
- Check OS ver. If below 10.13 it will need to be updated
- Turn off Deepfreeze
- Reset Admin Password to specified password
- Reset DeepFreeze to specified password
- Turn Deepfreeze back on.
Sierra 10.12.6 is incompatible with GTA v5. You will need to update the OS prior to working.
Note: GTA will not work on Mac computers without local admin password. Due to enhanced security features in macOS, permissions for Screen Recording and Accessibility must be manually granted.
Granting Permissions for Screen Recording and Accessibility in MacOS
- In the top left corner of the desktop, click the Apple icon.
- Select System Settings (previously System Preferences).
- Click Security & Privacy.
- Click the Privacy
- Click Unlock, and enter local admin credentials
- Make the following changes:
- In the left sidebar, click Accessibility, and make sure the GoToAssistRemoteSupport box is checked:
- In the left side bar, click Screen Recording, and make sure the GoToAssistRemoteSupport box is checked
Click the Lock icon to prevent any further changes. Your settings are saved automatically.
